Where we were and what we did during 2006:

January 15-17: Dale Smith traveled to Alexandria, Egypt to participate in several meetings concerning high speed network connectivity issues, as well as an NSF-funded Workshop on Building a Digital Library of the Middle East, held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina
May 7-15: Hervey Allen, Steven Huter, Phil Regnauld and Dale Smith taught and organized at the African Network Operators Group 7th Meeting in Nairobi, Kenya
June 18-24: Hervey Allen and Joel Jaeggli helped to organize and teach at the PacNOG 2 Meeting in Apia, Samoa
June 20-23: Hervey Allen helped to teach and organize a ccTLD training as part of the PacNOG2 Meeting in Apia, Samoa
July 24-29: Carlos Vicente taught a Network Management Workshop at the WALC 2006 event held in Quito, Ecuador
October 20-22: Alain Aina, Peter Koch and the NSRC helped to organize and teach a DNSSEC Deployment Workshop for the .SN Registry in Dakar, Sénégal
October 30-November 1: Greg Shepherd of Cisco and the NSRC helped to organize and teach a Multicast Workshop at intERLab at the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand
November 14-16: Steven Huter and Dale Smith presented and discussed the establishment of NRENs in Africa at the AAU Regional Research and Education Networking Workshop held in Accra, Ghana
December 12-14: Alain Aina, Olaf Koldman and the NSRC helped to organize and teach a DNSSEC Hands-on Workshop at intERLab at the the Asian Institute of Technology for the .TH Registry in Bangkok, Thailand
