 ures and hands-on lab work. Open to technical staff and Network Engineer/Ad
 ministrators who are now or soon will be deploying IPMulticast services on 
 a IP based Internet Service Provider (ISP) network\, Enterprise network\, C
 ampus network or Internet exchange Point (IXP)\, for one-to-many and/or man
 y-to-many data/media/NGN distribution services and applications.\n\nCourse 
 Duration\n\n3 days\n\nCourse Contents\n\nThis training covers the following
 s topics:\n- Router Configuration\n- Multicast addressing\n- Protocol Soup\
 n- IGMP (Internet Group Membership Protocol) used by hosts and routers to t
 ell each other about group membership\n- PIM-SM (Protocol Independent Multi
 cast - Sparse Mode) used to propagate forwarding state between routers.\n- 
 SSM (Source Specific Multicast) utilizes a subset of PIM's functionality to
  guaranty source-only trees in the 232/8 range.\n- MSDP (Multicast Source D
 iscovery Protocol) used to exchange ASM active source information between R
 Ps.\n- MBGP (Multiprotocol BGP) used to exchange routing information for in
