DESCRIPTION:The University of Ibadan successfully hosted the first edition 
 of the Preparatory Nigerian Network Operators Group (Pre-NgNOG) Workshop of
  the Forum\, from 18 - 21 July\, 2006.\n\nThis workshop was an adaptation o
 f AfNOG Track E0 (Unix System Administration. The strategic aim of the work
 shop was for the host-institution to maintain the laboratory facility and i
 nstitutionalize the workshop\, so that the training becomes available on a 
 regular\, periodic basis. We refer to this workshop mode as "doing Lucy"\, 
 after Lucy E. Lynch (then) of the University of Oregon who suggested it rec
 ently.\n\nIt was also aimed to prepare participants for more advanced train
 ing at the first Nigerian Network Operators Group (NgNOG I) Workshop and Me
 eting that will be hosted by the University of Jos later in November\, and 
 to improve uptake of Nigerian delegates at AfNOG Workshops.\n\nMore: https:
