It much less, than we expect. Still all upstream links from Armenia owned by Armentel Corp, because of the monopoly in telecommunications. Total capacity of the links is 10Mbit/s, split into three directions: teleglobe.ca - satellite link, 2Mbit/s; rostelecom.ru - fiber link, 4Mbit/s; ukrtel.net - fiber link, 4Mbit/s. The prices for links provided by Armentel Corp are too high to allow high speed access to the Internet. Most of ISPs as well as other organizations are using downlink satellite channels to improve their connectivity. Inside of Armenia status is better, almost all cities have some internet connectivity through two ISPs - Arminco Ltd and Web Ltd. Dial in, DSL and wireless equipment are most popular connections for end users. During last two years Arminco Ltd provide also fiber optic links. Armentel Corp - wholesale NSP, all providers are connected through them. http://www.armentel.com/ , Ruben Hakobyan, ruben@armentel.com Arminco Ltd - 4Mbit/s http://www.arminco.com/ , Hrant Dadivanyan, ran@styx.aic.net Cornet SJSC - 256kbis/s http://www.cornet.am/ , Gagik Hayrapetyan, g.hayrapetyan@cornet.am Netsys JVC - 512kbit/s http://www.netsys.am/ , Gevorg Gevorgyan, gevorg@netsys.am Web Ltd - 1Mbit/s http://www.web.am/ , Ruben Gevorkian, ruben@r.am Xalt LLC - 1Mbit/s http://www.xalt.am/ , Vahan Harutiunian, vahan.har@legal.am Thank you, Hrant Dadivanyan
