As far as you probably know there are 3 major networking services providers in Armenia: ARMINCO Ltd (TCP/IP,UUCP,X.25,X.400) - AICNET network INFOCOM Corp. (X.25,X.400,UUCP) - ARMPAC network YerPHI - Yerevan Physics Institute (TCP/IP,UUCP) ARMINCO is an official commercial Internet Provider in Armenia (satellite circuit to SOVAM Teleport Moscow). INFOCOM provides large X.25-based domestic network (satellite circuit to Sprint Intl USA.) YerPHI provides free TCP/IP access for the scientific and academic institutions (satellite circuit to DESY University, Germany) Armenia now is in IP network enlargement process. There are some new subdomains within .am domain to be created by the end of May 1995. These are: .arminco.am - for ARMINCO .aua.am - for American University of Armenia(AUA) .seua.am - for State Engineering University of Armenia .sci.am - for Scientific Network Some Class C IP ranges should be provided by RIPE accordingly.
