Inonu has been working on the project since 1992, when an initial protocol was signed with Turkey's research foundation, TUBITAK. Connections using fibre optics are now set up in Azerbaijan's Baku university making Azerbaijan the first Turkish-Republic Republic on Internet. /Hurriyet/ ================================================================ Steven N.
