You will be pleased to know that Saudi Arabia is finally on the internet! We can ask those guys who maintain maps of internet connectivity to color this region black :-) On the not-so-positive side our link is slow and expensive - we have a 9600 X.25 connection to Portal and at present are mainly using it for email. It is great to be able to read my email from my workstation, instead of using the IBM mainframe that is our BITNET connection. We have also set up our own Gopher server. I want to thank you for all your help - both in giving us the execellent lectures in Riyadh (during the last Gulfnet meeting) and allowing us to experiment with PPP to your machine.
