Advanced ccTLD Workshop Assessment and Planning Guide

=

This assessment form is to help us determine what topics and direction to taken when we finalize a course outline for upcoming ccTLD workshops. We wish to customize the workshop topics to areas that will be useful to you. The more information you can give us in this assessment document, the better we will be able to do this.

1. SELF-ASSESSMENT

1a. Describe a major challenge that you have faced over the last months or years in operating and developing the registry operation.

The delegation of second level domain "coop.py", meant not only the adaptation of the applications used to manage domains, which does not contemplate the incorporation of new classifications. It also had to update the procedures, internal and external as well as guidelines and delegation's criteria.

I was involved in new deployments developed (actually adapting what already exists), analysis, summary and updating guidelines for the delegation of these domains. So I've contacted to our secondary because they should also withdraw a new table domains (called db.coop.py).

Data modification domain (DNS servers) automated, without any technical intervention. Users can insert and make changes at any time, thanks to its e-mail address registered in our database of contacts.

Verification of "consistency" of tables (domain) generated, before the replication to our secondary servers.

1b. Describe the projects on which you are currently working to solve or deploy, and their importance (ranking).

In integrating two databases, one which is used for loading and recovery services (payments domains) and the other, which stores information about domains. The idea is that a payment, charged by a beneficiary, allowing the "activation" of a new domain, with no other process nor intervention from anyone else.

Implementation of the service ecommerce at the level of development software required to allow interconnection with the database issuer of credit cards.

Conducting meetings / lectures / panels with other members of the CAPADI to address issues such as implementation of IPv6 in NAPPY, well as the use of dynamic routing across the network.

Working squarely and in conjunction with national bodies such as National Police in the quest for clarification of the crimes which use TIC (Information technology).

1c. Describe the major areas where you plan to spend resources (time, money) in the next two years and how important they are to your registry.

Staff training in the use / implementation / network development, using IPv6. We're also planning to-do a high promotion for the adoption of the IPv6 during the next two years.
