########################################################################### NSRC Lab Ð Instructions for accessing equipment remotely ########################################################################### All network equipment in the remote lab will be managed using their serial console ports. Access to the consoles is available via a terminal server using secure shell (ssh). Use the topology diagram and the following list to identify your devices and ssh to the terminal server. Group 1: Routers : R11, R12, R13 Switches : BB11, BB12, SW11, SW12 Workstations : ws1, ws6 Group 2: Routers : R21, R22, R23 Switches : BB21, BB22, SW21, SW22 Workstations : ws2, ws7 Group 3: Routers : R31, R32, R33 Switches : BB31, BB32, SW31, SW32 Workstations : ws3, ws8 Group 4: Routers : R41, R42, R43 Switches : BB41, BB42, SW41, SW42 Workstations : ws4, ws9 Group 5: Routers : R51, R52, R53 Switches : BB51, BB52, SW51, SW52 Workstations : ws5, ws10 If using Putty on Windows: 1. In the `Host Name' box, enter con.lab.nsrc.org 2. In `Connection type', select "SSH" 3. Press the `Open' button, and type the username as: nsrc:R11 nsrc:R12 etc. From a Linux shell: ssh nsrc:R11@con.lab.nsrc.org ssh nsrc:R12@con.lab.nsrc.org Your instructor will provide the passwords. Access to the Linux workstations is via SSH, for example: ssh nsrc@ws1.lab.nsrc.org
